Why I Created Gay Party Tix

I know what it feels like to hear about a great party after it’s already happened.

After moving from Indiana to New York City in 2008, I discovered just how much gay nightlife there was to explore—and how much effort it took to find it. Information was scattered across websites, social media, local publications, and word of mouth. Bars and parties changed, new events appeared, and traveling to another city meant starting the research all over again.

What began as a personal search became a passion for discovering gay events and sharing what I found.

Gay Party Tix grew out of my work on Late Night Cruisin’. I created it in 2022 to give gay parties and a broader range of social activities a space of their own. That vision now reaches from dance floors and drag shows to festivals, game nights, cruises, and outdoor adventures.

Meet Rick Easley

I’m Rick Easley, the founder of Gay Party Tix.

Born and raised in Indiana, I moved to New York City in 2008 after graduating from Indiana University in Indianapolis. Living in several boroughs introduced me to different sides of gay life and sparked a lasting interest in how people find their communities.

Researching gay nightlife became something I loved doing—and something I wanted to share. Gay Party Tix is built from that curiosity, personal experience, and the belief that finding your next great experience should be easier.
